Our Story

A Message From Our Owner On How USA Home Care PLUS Was Born...

My wife and I both had Veteran grandparents and family members. My father-in-law and co-owner of USA Home Care PLUS was Medic in the Army. Our family members needed assistance with daily activities when they grew older in life. My grandmother ended up living at my aunt’s house and the whole family pitched in to help take care of her. My wife’s grandmother was severely burned in a house fire. My wife and her family had to take care of her 24/7. Because of these events, we both experienced having to care for our grandparents firsthand. This was a burden on the whole family because it was hard to be both a caregiver and a family member at the same time.

Both my wife and I ended up in the medical field after we graduated from college. I worked in the Trauma Department/ER, OR, ICU, L&D, and Nursing Homes for 15+ years. My wife worked 14+ years with a pharmaceutical company selling medication for the Alzheimer’s disease. She worked firsthand with doctors and patients and has learned a lot about the disease and how it effects the human body. During our time in the medical field, we both built a passion for teaching, helping others, and learning as much as we can about the human body.

While we were in the medical field, we knew we wanted to do more than what we were currently doing. We just didn’t know how or what direction to go in. One night while I was working in the Emergency Room, we kept getting pages of elderly patients falling and/or getting hurt in some manner. That night I started thinking about my grandmother and my wife’s grandmother and then it just clicked, my wife and I could both become official caregivers and start a Home Care Agency.

Shortly after that night, my wife and I both got certified as a Patient Care Assistant (P.C.A). We knew we wanted to do this full time so we decided to risk everything and open up our own Home Care Agency with my father-in-law. Now we have the best of both worlds, we get to help people like our grandparents and also make a living doing it. And that is how USA Home Care PLUS was born.
